NRC.Style Springing Forward

Spring is near and its time for me to get back to blogging and on my grizz-ind. lol
I took a hiatus from blogging due to a drastic yet rewarding change in my life. I just delivered a beautiful baby girl 2.12.11 so I am fully indulged in motherhood and taking care of my home front. During my 9 months expectantcy...I just wasn't much in the blogging mood. I keep a prayer journal and a personal journal but when it came to my style blog...i didn't feel so stylish. My mind was just focused on the changes that were taking place and my addition to my family that would change my life forever.
With that being said...I am still adjusting to the changes, but if you know me you know...I'm a fast learner, adapter and I can do a ton of things at once...so here I am.

I just would like to give a quick acknowledgement to Amber Riley of "Glee"! She wore this fabulous look to the 2011 Screen Actors Guild Awards in LA. Lets just say, she rocked it. Classy, Elegant, and just simply beautiful. I probably would have done something different with the hair, but I think she looks phenomenal and I'm grateful that whoever dressed her knows how to dress someone who has "Curves".

Regardless of size, if you know how to dress your frame, you will can look super stylish!

FASHION ICON - IMAN!!!

I recently came across some recent photos of Iman and as usual I adore how she puts herself together, so I thought... why not highlight her class-ay style on my blog. This generation's style is all about baring skin, how well you can define and show off your curves with cleavage baring garments, too tight jeans and short tailored dresses. A lot of this is prevalent amongst the younger generation of super stars, which in turn makes the kids of today think it's cute and acceptable. Iman is mature in age so I will keep that in mind but I still feel like her style is timeless and I would rather her style be replicated than someone like a Kim Kardashian who has helped elevate this overly sexy provocative image so many women are looking to copy. Hey it's my opinion and I'm entitled to have one. No shade being thrown, just giving you my honest thoughts.

Came across these bad mama-jammas online and had to post. Are these shoes not to die for? Not literally of course but they are super cute!!!

The colors are awesome...heel is on point. I just dig these shoes! Oh Dior!

Hey Luvs! Came across this recently and I just adore it! So many looks you can produce with just this one necklace. This piece can easily go from day to night and be worn fabulously with jeans and t-shirt to a cocktail dress. Now I'm on the prowl for some signature necklaces...right up my alley.

Jimmy Choo's limited edition collection for UGG Australia bridges the gap between trendy fashionistas and comfort wear.  I'm not really an UGG girl but I like these...not so much the leopard but all in all, I think these are pretty snazzy. Now these will cost you a wopping $795, but I'm almost POS that some designer will reincarnate these bad boys  for much cheaper. But if you can afford Jimmy Choo UGGS, GO FOR IT!
